1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Aixotl ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Aixotl is a sleep and dream companion app that provides:

• Adaptive soundscapes for sleep
• Dream capture via voice or text
• AI-powered dream interpretation and art generation
• On-device wellness insights from biometric data

3. User Accounts

You may use Aixotl anonymously or create a registered account. Anonymous accounts have a 30-day data retention limit. Registered accounts retain data indefinitely until you delete your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. Health Data

Aixotl accesses health data (sleep, heart rate, HRV) from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission. This data is used solely to generate personalized sleep insights.

Aixotl is not a medical device. Sleep scores, wellness signals, and narratives are informational only and do not constitute medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for health concerns.

5. AI-Generated Content

Dream interpretations, wellness narratives, and dream art are generated by artificial intelligence. These outputs are creative and informational in nature. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose.

You retain ownership of your dream content. AI-generated interpretations and artwork are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the App's security
• Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or violates others' rights
• Use automated systems to access the App beyond normal usage

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. You can cancel at any time through your App Store settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aixotl and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health decisions made based on the App's outputs.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aixotl operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
