Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Aixotl account and all associated data at any time. This page describes how to request deletion, what gets removed, and what (if anything) we are required to retain.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the Aixotl app on your iOS or Android device.
- Go to the Ajustes (Settings) tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Borrar cuenta (Delete account).
- Confirm both warning dialogs. The deletion runs immediately.
Why this is preferred: the in-app flow authenticates the request against the signed-in account, so no manual identity verification is needed and the deletion completes within seconds.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address registered to your account with the subject line "Account deletion request".
We will:
- Confirm receipt within 2 business days
- Verify ownership of the account (we may ask you to reply from the registered email)
- Complete the deletion within 30 days of verification, in line with applicable data-protection laws
What gets deleted

* Your subscription itself is managed by Apple or Google. To stop renewals, cancel from your platform's Subscriptions screen — Aixotl cannot cancel platform subscriptions on your behalf.
What we may retain
We retain a minimal set of records only when required by law or for the integrity of our financial systems:
- Anonymized analytics (no email, no user ID, no dream content) — kept indefinitely for product metrics
- Receipt records for paid transactions — retained for the period required by tax authorities (typically 7 years)
- Security audit logs (timestamps of deletion requests, IP at time of request) — retained for 12 months for fraud and abuse investigations
None of these residual records can be linked back to you after deletion completes.
Anonymous usage
If you use Aixotl without creating an account, no personal information is stored to begin with. Anonymous data is automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity, with a 7-day grace period before permanent removal.
Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your dream history, interpretations, generated art, and saved rituals cannot be recovered. We do not keep backups that could restore an individual account.
