2. Information We Collect

Health Data: With your explicit permission, we access sleep data, heart rate, and heart rate variability from Apple HealthKit. This data is processed on your device and is never sold to third parties.

Dream Content: Voice recordings and text entries you provide for dream capture. These are processed to generate interpretations and art.

Account Information: Email address and display name if you create an account. Anonymous usage is supported without any personal information.

Usage Analytics: We collect anonymized usage events (screen views, feature usage) to improve the app. These contain no personally identifiable information.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalized sleep insights and wellness narratives
• Create AI-powered dream interpretations and artwork
• Compute on-device sleep scores and biometric trends
• Improve app features and user experience

4. Data Storage and Security

Health data is processed primarily on your device. When server processing is required (dream interpretation, art generation), data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS 1.3) and stored in encrypted databases.

Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

Anonymous users: Data is retained for 30 days, with a 7-day grace period before permanent deletion.

Registered users: Data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI: For dream interpretation and wellness narrative generation. Dream content is sent to OpenAI's API for processing.
• Replicate: For dream art generation from interpretation summaries.

We do not share your health data with any third party.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time via iOS Settings
• Use the app anonymously without providing personal information

8. Children's Privacy

Aixotl is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
